Due to my shallow, frivolous, more-explosions-more-joy approach, most of the films I enjoy are never nominated for the big gun awards. Also, I never truly enjoy the movies that have been nominated and win.
Therefore, I have high hopes and expectations. But hell, Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter together with Geoffrey Rush can’t really disappoint. Can they?

Straight to my DVD collection. Colin Firth was just sublime. Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter were magnificent. For once, the committees got in right.
